Wireless thermometer for a greenhouse

A wireless thermometer is an electronic gadget which is particularly useful for keeping tabs on the temperature in a greenhouse, or outdoors in the case of delicate crops.

What is a Wireless Thermometer

A wireless thermometer is typically made up of two battery powered components. The (ideally) weatherproof temperature sensor transmitter unit which measures the temperature of the remote location, and the display receiver unit which typically shows the temperature at that location as well as the temperature at the remote location.

Wireless outdoor weather station

Many wireless thermometers have additional features such as indoor and outdoor high and low temperature memory display as well as current temperature display. More expensive units often have a humidity and barometric pressure sensor, and can therefore help you to predict the weather, and some have a frost warning.

Buy a Wireless Thermometer

Wireless thermometers are available for from just £15 for the most basic, to £50-100 for a unit with full weather station features. Click here to see a selection of wireless thermometers most of which are suitable for greenhouse or protected area of a garden use.
